Founded in 1881 by Achille Ditesheim, Movado is a Swiss watch brand celebrated for its iconic Museum Dial, designed by Nathan George Horwitt in 1947, featuring a single dot at 12 o'clock symbolizing the sun at high noon. This minimalist design is a hallmark of modern art. Famous models include the Museum Classic, the Bold, and various chronographs. Movado has produced some in-house movements in its history, but today primarily uses Swiss quartz and automatic movements from ETA.
